Dr Simon Woodward is an tourism and heritage industry consultant and educator with more than 20 years' experience of advising public, private and voluntary sector clients on a wide range of issues associated with the development and management of responsible tourism practices.

In 2008 Simon joined Leeds Metropolitan University as Senior Research Fellow where he teaches on the MSc course in Responsible Tourism Management and the BA International Tourism Management within the School of Events, Hospitality and Tourism as well as contributing to the school's research and consultancy programmes.

Simon Woodward Associates (SWA) exists as a vehicle for promoting Simon’s consultancy and training experience and services, which are available through the International Centre for Research in Events, Tourism & Hospitality (ICRETH at Leeds Metropolitan University.
